WHAT IS THE EMSELLA UROCURE?

EMSELLA is a specially designed chair that uses HIFEM Technology (high-intensity focused electromagnetic technology) to induce deep supra-maximal pelvic floor contractions.

These contractions are designed to deliver the equivalent of 11, 200 Kegel exercises within the 28-minute session.  These contractions are unique because they are stronger than you could induce by doing kegel exercises on your own.  This results in muscle hypertrophy (growth) and strengthening of your pelvic floor muscles.

*This is a non-invasive treatment

*You remain fully clothed

*100% Painless

*Zero downtime

*28-minute sessions

The Pelvic Floor Explained

The pelvic floor is the base of the group of muscles referred to as your ‘core’. These muscles are located in your pelvis and stretch like a hammock from the pubic bone (at the front) to the coccyx or tailbone (at the back) and from side to side.

The pelvic floor muscles work with your deep abdominal (tummy) and deep back muscles and diaphragm to stabilize and support your spine. They also help control the pressure inside your abdomen to deal with the pushing down force when you lift or strain – such as during exercise.

Pelvic floor muscles support the bladder and bowel in men and the bladder, bowel and uterus in women. They also help maintain bladder and bowel control and play an important role in sexual sensation and function.

Pelvic floor muscles can be strengthened by doing pelvic floor muscle exercises or by sitting in the non-invasive Emsella Chair.

WHAT KINDS OF CONDITIONS DOES THE EMSELLA CHAIR TREAT?

EMSELLA can help any condition where the pelvic floor has weakened.

Common signs that can indicate a pelvic floor problem include:

  • accidentally leaking urine when you exercise, laugh, cough or sneeze

  • needing to get to the toilet in a hurry or not making it there in time

  • constantly needing to go to the  toilet

  • waking throughout the night to urinate

  • finding it difficult to empty your bladder or bowel

  • accidentally losing control of your bladder or bowel

  • accidentally passing wind

  • a prolapse

    • in women, this may be felt as a bulge in the vagina or a feeling of heaviness, discomfort, pulling, dragging or dropping

    • in men, this may be felt as a bulge in the rectum or a feeling of needing to use their bowels but not actually needing to go

  • pain in your pelvic area

  • painful sex

EMSELLA has received FDA & Health Canada approval to treat Stress/Urge/Mixed urinary incontinence in both men and women.

However, many others have noticed other benefits after treatment in the emsella chair.

How Do Pelvic Floor Muscles Get Weakened?

Pelvic floor problems can occur when the pelvic floor muscles are stretched, weakened or too tight.

Emsella was specifically created for those with weakened muscles

Some people have weak pelvic floor muscles from an early age, whilst others notice problems after certain life stages or situations in life.

Here are some examples of causes:

  • not keeping them active

  • being pregnant and having babies

  • menopause

  • a history of back pain

  • ongoing constipation and straining to empty the bowels

  • being overweight or obese

  • heavy lifting (e.g. at work or the gym)

  • previous injury to the pelvic region (e.g. a fall, surgery or pelvic radiotherapy)

  • growing older

Strengthening your pelvic floor muscles will help you to actively support your bladder and bowel. This improves bladder and bowel control and reduces the likelihood of accidentally leaking from your bladder or bowel. Like other muscles in your body, your pelvic floor muscles will become stronger with a regular exercise program. This is important for both men and women.

However, peoples compliance with doing kegel exercises properly and consistently or strongly enough is poor.  Some try medications but their effectiveness isn’t always sufficient either.  Pelvic floor physiotherapy is another avenue to strengthen your pelvic floor but most do not enjoy this therapy and are not compliant long term with sessions.  For all these reasons, EMSELLA is the answer you’ve been looking for!!!!

Not only does it effectively strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, it does so painlessly! It is a full non-invasive treatment that lasts 28 minutes. You remain fully clothed and there is absolutely no down time.  You can return to your normal activities immediately after the treatment.

Best of all, the EMSELLA  chair treatment does a much better job at strengthening your pelvic floor muscles than any other therapy.  Studies have shown this through rigorous investigations.
